Granville, NY. Millennium received its third US Patent, No. 11,927,017 “Roofing System and Method”. This patent, and two previous patents, cover Millennium’s intellectual property for hook and loop adhered roofing materials.

Millennium Slate LLC receives second US Patent
Granville, NY. Millennium Slate LLC announces that the USPTO issued its second patent
11,578494 B2 for Roofing System and Method. The patent was issued on February 14th, 2023 and has a filing date of November 25, 2019 with a priority date of May 7, 2020. Inventors Fred Whitridge, Phil Prehoda, and Tom Collard have assigned the patent to Millennium. This patent memorializes additions and improvements to 10,828,327 B2. Millennium has another patent pending and plans to do other filings on additional inventions.

Trademark received: The Centennial System® for roofing tile
Granville, NY. Millennium Slate LLC announces that the USPTO has registered its trademark The Centennial System® for slate roofing tiles. This system uses hook and loop fasteners to affix the tiles to the roof. Installation times are 5x to 10x or more faster than traditional slate. Installed weight is half of traditional slate. System has been wind tunnel tested at 160mph.

Millennium Slate LLC has been issued United States Patent 10,829,937 B2 “Roofing System and Method”. This patent, and other patents and trademarks pending, covers Millennium’s unique hook and loop adhered slate roofing system.

Millennium Slate LLC is reopening and retooling its plant to make personal protective equipment for the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 20, 2020, Millennium Slate LLC and its parent, Evergreen Slate Co., Inc, furloughed all of their employees pursuant to New York’s directive on non-essential businesses. After guidance from the state, Millennium reopened with a small crew to make face shields and personal protective equipment for the COVID-19 pandemic on March 31, 2020.

At the International Roofing Expo, Dallas Texas, Millennium Slate LLC has today announced a revolutionary method of installing slate roofs, trademarked The Centennial System™.
The system involves factory applied hook and loop strips on the front and rear of individual slate tiles. Millennium is launching this product with market leading hook and loop fasteners from Velcro. The individual slate tiles are applied to a roofing substrate covered with hook fasteners. This launch underlayment is InsulBase RL™by Carlisle Construction Materials. Millennium has domestic and international patents pending.
